The Management of the Iganga-Mayuge Health and Demographic Surveillance Site (IMHDSS) extends its profound gratitude to all the funders and collaborators for the work at IMHDSS over the years. Special mention is made of the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida), Karolinska Institutet, University of Bergen, John Hopkins University, Makerere University researchers and INDEPTH Network.
Others include the Ministry of Health (MOH), Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS), host districts of Iganga and Mayuge, Iganga district hospital, In-Charges of all health facilities in the HDSS area, the district health Officers of Iganga and Mayuge, Community based births and deaths reporters (Scouts) and Village Health Team (VHTs) members.
Our special and sincere thanks also go to the local council leaders, sub-county and parish chiefs and the people resident in our area of operation in the two districts for supporting IMHDSS and cooperating with the field workers during the process of data collection and dissemination. The management of IMHDSS cannot forget its hardworking staff for their outstanding and immeasurable contribution to the success of the site during the past years.
